In 2000, two of South Africa’s best known suppliers of farm machinery merged to form the new company Rovic & Leers (Pty) Ltd. Together these companies share a long history of supplying the needs of South African farmers, our history goes back to the establishment of HM Leers and company in 1927! Today we employ 130 people and have branches in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Pietermaritzburg and also look after farmers’ needs in many sub-Saharan countries. Our key strength is providing our customers with quality products like the well-known Rovic range of fertiliser spreaders, front-end loaders, chisel ploughs, rippers, seedbed tine implements, Rovic Voor wheat and maize planters, as well as an imported line of premium machinery from internationally renowned brands like Kuhn, Krone, Seko, Cima and many more. Coupled with our commitment to outstanding customer service and customer satisfaction, this makes us the farmer’s no 1 choice when selecting his future purchases.

Disc Mower

GMD Butterfly

The race for output is inevitable: Farms have increasingly larger areas to harvest, optimal mowing periods are limited, achieving a top quality forage is essential. In these highly stressful times, one must be able to count on reliable mowers, leaving a clean crop stubble and producing quality forage without impurities. KUHN has combined all its energy and knowhow to develop large capacity machines that meet these expectations. Because every farm or company is looking for a solution to meet its needs, KUHN offers several different concepts with one essential point in common: LIFT-CONTROL suspension which allows the mowing units to slide over the plant cover at an optimal, uniform weight, to harvest the best of the plant. Being a reference on the market in terms of mowers is no coincidence. Choose KUHN to have the best assets for being successful.

Lift Control

The LIFT-CONTROL device is much more than just a suspension system with a nitrogen accumulator replacing the traditional spring. The principal advantage of the LIFT-CONTROL system is derived from the exclusive way in which kinetic forces that act on the cutterbar are utilized. KUHN engineers have succeeded in making a dynamic suspension system as opposed to the passive system commonly in use. With the LIFT-CONTROL system as the force exerted on the cutterbar increases the suspension system automatically lightens the cutterbar. The greater the force the lighter the cutterbar.

GMD TL Series

The GMD 2850 TL - GMD 4050 TL offer high working rates,  simple adjustments and low maintenance, for dependable grass and forage harvesting. These trailed mowers provide easier tractor attachment as well as improved cutterbar flotation and contour following, compared to fully-mounted models. The trailed design also lowers the tractor ballast requirement, allowing use with smaller tractors, while maintaining excellent stability both at work and in transport.  The new KUHN mowers are the logical and practical alternative to mounted disc mower and "caddy" combinations. Get quality and reliability, along with outstanding support and maximum resale value, from the pioneer  in disc mower technology and the worlds leading implement manufacturer.
